Support for ORCID in Publishing Systems


Editorial Manager/ProduXion Manager (Aries)

Aries supports journals in encouraging ORCID registration by authors, co-authors, reviewers, and editors -- and ensuring definitive assignment of ORCID numbers within customer implementations Editorial Manager® More information. Support for ORCID sign in is automatically enabled, support for ORCID during the registration process can be enabled by contacting Editorial Manager support.

Members using Editorial Manager do not need to test their integration on the ORCID Sandbox. When applying for credentials, mention that you are using Editorial Manager in the notes field.

 


eJournalPress

ORCID members using eJournalPress can enable authors to provide their verified ORCID iD and get trusted party access to authors’ ORCID records. For information on setting this up contact eJournalPress.

Members using eJournalPress do not need to test their integration on the ORCID Sandbox. When applying for credentials, mention that you are using eJournalPress and whether you'll be using their peer review functionality in the notes field.

 


Open Journal Systems

Open Journal Systems (OJS) allows authors to authenticate their ORCID iD at submission using the ORCID Public or Member API from version 3.0 onward.

Members using OJS do not need to test their integration on the ORCID Sandbox. When applying for credentials, mention that you are using OJS. 

 


ScholarOne Manuscripts

ScholarOne customers can currently allow or require authors to provide their ORCID iDs using either the Member or Public API.
