Support for ORCID in CRIS Systems

Converis (Thomson Reuters)

ORCID members can set up their Converis installation to allow researchers to link or facilitate the creation of a new ORCID iD. Researchers can also sync research works data between their ORCID and Converis records. For information on how to enable support for ORCID in Converis, contact Converis support.

Members using Converis do not need to test and demonstrate their integration on the ORCID Sandbox.

DSpace CRIS

DSpace CRIS provides built-in support for linking researcher’s ORCID records to their record in DSpace CRIS.

More information

You can go over some examples of this integration.

And also from University of Missouri integration with DSpace

Members using DSpace CRIS do need to test and demonstrate their integration on the ORCID Sandbox.

Elements (SYMPLECTIC)

ORCID members can configure Elements to allow researchers to link to their ORCID iD and gather persistent identifiers from their ORCID record. More details about the integration and video. Example

For information on how to enable ORCID with your Elements installation, visit the Symplectic Knowledgebase or contact: support@symplectic.co.uk. Other link

Members using Elements do not need to test their integration on the ORCID Sandbox. When applying for credentials mention that you are using Symplectic Elements in the notes field. video

IRMA (University Office)

ORCID members can configure IRMA to allow researchers to create an ORCID iD on demand, connect their existing ORCID iDs, and gather identifiers from their ORCID records. More details about the integration.

The ORCID identifier is being utilised by IRMA for more efficient validation of harvested research outputs, and unique identification of collaborators across project, funding and research integrity activities.

For information on how to enable ORCID with your IRMA installation, contact University Office.

Members using IRMA do need to test and demonstrate their integration on the ORCID Sandbox.

Pivot (ProQuest)

Pivot has built-in support for linking researcher’s Pivot records to their ORCID records. More information.

Members using Pivot do need to test and demonstrate their integration on the ORCID Sandbox.

PlumX (Plum Analytics)

PlumX has built in support for ORCID using the public API. PlumX allows researcher to link their ORCID record to their PlumX profile and import public works from ORCID to their PlumX profile. More information.

Members using PlumX do need to test and demonstrate their integration on the ORCID Sandbox.

Profiles (Harvard Catalyst)

ORCID members can configure their installation of Profiles to have users create or link their ORCID iD and sync content with their ORCID record. For information on linking Profiles to ORCID see the Profiles installation guide.

Members using Profiles do need to test and demonstrate their integration on the ORCID Sandbox.

Pure (Elsevier)

ORCID members can configure their installation of Pure to allow researchers to create an ORCID iD or link to their existing ORCID record. More information.

Members using Pure do not need to test their integration on the ORCID Sandbox. When applying for credentials mention that you are using Pure in the notes field.

Vivo (DuraSpace)

DuraSpace VIVO allows researchers to link their ORCID iDs to VIVO records. Instructions to set up an ORCID-VIVO connection.

Members using Vivo do need to test and demonstrate their integration on the ORCID Sandbox.
